关于MLA写作格式
　　半个多世纪以来，MLA（美国现代语言协会）所倡导的学术著作原稿和学术论文的格式被各种学术期刊、出版社和学校等广泛接受。美国和加拿大在人文学科研究中普遍使用MLA格式，MLA格式在全世界得到普遍认可。MLA出版了两本关于写作格式的书，一本是MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers（《MLA科研论文写作规范》，供高中生和大学本科生使用），另-本是MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing（《MLA格式指南及学术出版准则》，供研究生、学者和专业作家使用）。
　　这两本书就MLA格式做了最准确、全面的介绍。
　　《MLA格式指南及学术出版准则》（第三版）对原来的第二版做了重要修订：
　　1．简化了网络来源的文献记录；
　　2．更新了版权、合同等法律注意事项部分；
　　3．更新了论文电子稿的呈交方式；
　　4．附录中不再有原第二版中对其他格式体系的介绍，取而代之的是对其他学科惯用的参考文献格式的介绍；
　　5．更新了序，增加了前言，对全书做了介绍。关于MLA（美国现代语言协会）
　　MLA（美国现代语言协会）成立于1883年，该组织有3万多名教师和学者。其宗旨是促进语言和文学的研究。MLA的出版物除上述两本书外，还有著名的学术期刊PMLA、MLA International Bibliography以及系列书籍Approaches to Teaching World Literature和MLA Texts and Translations.
