本论文集收集了于2007年10月29-31日在北京工业大学召开的《微尺度光学国际学术研讨会》上报告的论文30余篇。本次会议由国家自然科学基金委员会资助,并得到中国光学学会、北京市教委人才强教计划、英国文化协会科研交换项目的支持。由北京工业大学应用数理学院和激光工程研究院,中国科学院理化技术研究所共同举办。会议主题涉及超快、超强激光技术;时间分辨率光谱学及应用;介质及金属光子晶体结构及应用;新型光学存储材料等。来自国际上6个国家的40余名科学家参会并作学术报告,代表了相关研究领域的前沿水平和最新进展。纳米光学、纳米材料研究领域经历了光学特性和显微特性的表征,以及理论和光物理机理研究阶段后,向器件化和实用化的发展是一个显著趋势。以具有较长远发展前途的实用化器件(如光电子和生物器件)为目的和为器件性能所支持的纳米光学研究更为人所关注,而能获得更强力度的支持。同时,超快激光光谱学作为一个重要的研究工具,在物理化学和生物学领域一直是推动基础研究发展非常重要的光学手段。而随着纳米科学与技术的发展,其在纳米材料与器件表征中的应用研究越来越重要,并成为器件设计和优化的重要工具。这是本次研讨会和论文集所要突出强调的主题。

  ThisistheproceedingsoftheInternationalSymposiumonUltrafastandNano-Optics2007(UNO2007).Thissymposiumwasheldon28-31October2007inBeijingUniversityofTechnology.Morethan45scientistscametothesymposiumfrom7countriesandgavepresentations,reportingtheirrecentprogressesintheresearchfieldsofultrafastandnano-optics,aswellasinotherrelatedtopics.Thisproceedingsincludes32fullpapersthathavebeenpresentedatthissymposium.Thesymposiumwasverysuccessfulinstimulatingextensivediscussionsinthefocusedtopicsinoptics.Weacknowledgeallofthescientiststhathaveattendedthissymposiumfortheircontributionsandhopethatthismeetingwillbehelpfulforestablishingclosecommunicationsandcollaborationsbetweentheseactiveresearchgroups.
