本书以伊什梅尔·里德的戏仿艺术为研究重点,依据后现代理论、当代黑人文学批评理论以及文化研究的相关成果,从功能研究角度探讨里德对西方小说传统的戏仿性改写技巧和他对该传统的认识论的解构。作者以里德对西部小说、侦探小说、奴隶叙述和学院小说的改写文本为分析样本,论证里德对突破小说创作传统的追求:里德的后现代戏仿艺术既质疑文学再现形式,又高度关注与边缘文化、特别是非裔群体密切相关的历史、政治、文化等问题,丰富了小说创作的内涵。作者认为,对里德小说戏仿艺术的个案研究,又有助于厘清当代理论界对后现代戏仿的本质及其文化政治性争论的某些误区。

作者介绍:

林元富(1963.11-),男,汉族,福建泉州泉港人。1985年毕业于福建师范大学外语系,获学士学位,2001年获硕士学位;2008年获厦门大学外文学院英语语言文学专业博士学位。现为福建师范大学外国语学院副教授、硕士生导师、英语系主任,担任本科与硕士研究生的《英美文学》课
