《轻松睿智故事篇》是“大学英语自主听力进阶”系列的第二册，选取了国外众多风格轻松幽默又不乏深刻哲理的短小故事，学习者能在轻松有趣的语言环境中学习原汁原味的英语。在培训听力技巧方面，教材注重选材安排的逻辑性，将故事在结构上可分两大块，一是矛盾冲突，二是矛盾冲突的化解。故事的三要素是场景（setting）、人物（characters）、事件（event）。场景包括时间和地点；人物包括主要人物和次要人物，以及人物之间的关系；事件可以是一件事，也可以是多件事。在不同的故事中，三个要素的重要性会不尽相同。怎样才能听懂故事？怎样才算听懂故事？本分册从这两个看似简单的问题入手，讨论听者听故事时最佳的听力状态，引导听者通过三个有效途径把握故事大意。而后又分别通过语音、单词、句式以及语篇等训练听者的预测、推断、记忆、分析等各种听力技能。希望本书提供的训练方法和规律能够帮助学习者充分调动获取信息的主观能动性，提高听力理解能力。 “大学英语自主听力进阶”系列共分四册：《你问我答访谈篇》、《轻松睿智故事篇》、《东西南北新闻篇》和《智慧之桥讲座篇》。每册分别含有二十个单元，每个单元由BeforeYouListen，ListenNow，LookatThis和Here’sMore四个部分组成，分别为听前热身、听力实践、方法指导或背景知识、补充练习。这四个部分环环相扣，使每个单元成为一个有机的整体。而四本分册涉及日常听力活动中常见的四种体裁，难度依次递升，也使整个系列成为一个有机的整体。 希望英语学习者在使用“大学英语自主听力进阶”系列的过程中，能够感受到同一体裁听力材料的共性，从而积极主动地获取信息，这将有助于听力理解和听力记忆。我们相信，如果英语学习者能认真听完每一本分册，一定会受益匪浅，有效提高英语水平。 本书为该丛书之一《轻松睿智故事篇》。
