PekingOpera,knownasJingJu(CapitalOpera),hasahistoryofmorethan200years.BecauseofitspatronagebytherulingQing,orManchu,dynasty,PekingOperagrewfromalocalfolkart.tothestandardbeareroftheatricalart.ItattainedtheprominentstatusofGuoJuorNationalOperaofChina.
