本教程以强化英语听力能力为目标，通过不同的听写形式展开词汇、练语法、学写作（句子结构）的训练。全书由三个部分组在：第一部分按语法、写作（句子结构）知识线索编排，由十个单元组成；第二部分按词汇知识线索编排，由六个训练模块组成；第三部分为北京外语广播Radio774“学英语，话文明”节目的选编。
