The Collection of Critical Biographies of Chinese Thinkers， underthe general editorship of the late honorary president of NanjingUniversity， Professor Kuang Yarning， is the largest-scale project ofresearch materials on Chinese thinkers undertaken since thebeginning of the twentieth century.
