《英语学术论文中的言据性研究》以系统功能语言学为理论基础，并借助语言学研究中的其他几个概念，建立了一个多层面的“三成分”人际功能模式来研究英语科研论文中的言据性。
　　《英语学术论文中的言据性研究》主要包括以下三方面的内容：
　　1）在以往言据性分类的基础上并考虑到科研论文的语类特点，本文提出自己的言据性分类，并考察了其词汇语法形式。论文把言据性的使用和语类结构相结合，指出不同的语类成分倾向使用不同种类的言据性，
　　2）本文同意言据性的选择首先是一个认知过程。在这个过程中，信息来源本身并非唯一影响因素，很多因素都会影响言据性的选择和使用。本文侧重其中的两个因素：语类和人际功能。论文建立了一个多角度人际意义“三成分模式”，探讨言据性作为一种语篇策略在科研论文中的三种人际功能
　　3）本文对言据性在以英语为母语的科研论文中和中国研究者科研论文中的使用作了比较研究。此研究具有理论意义和教学指导意义。
