Research suggests that having a higher income does affect happiness,but only up to a point.Whatever that point is for you will depend on your own situation,but beyond it you won’t be significantly happier.Comparing your financial income to your peers is also not a good idea,because research shows that people care about relative income.If you earn less than your peers you are more likely to feel angry and sad.There will always be someone with more money than you,so try to stop worry about it.So does money make us happier? Well,yes and no.We need enough to cover our basic needs,but we also need to remember the positive effects of generosity and building relationships.Perhaps our focus should be less on how much money we have,and more on how we use it.
