If you can buy a person’s friendship, it’s not worth having.

One of the purposes of making friends is to learn from those who are better than oneself, or to teach one who may not be so good. So, if we make friends just for things or money, we are just doing business with others. A friend in need is a friend indeed. Fair-weather friend is the bomb of oneself, and also it is the tomb of oneself.

In easy times it is difficult to tell true friends from false ones. In hard times, nature of friendship is discovered. In hard times, a true friend draws closer, while a false one turns away.
