   April 15th marks the 102nd anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. The 11-storey ship was not just very large, but also unusually luxurious (豪华). It is therefore not surprising that the sinking of the Titanic continues to attract the interest of people of all ages, even today.

  Over the years, there have been many books about this tragedy. However, very few have been written from the perspective (视角) of the young passengers. This is why I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912 by Lauren Tarshis is fun and different. The author uses facts from the real tragedy and makes up a heart-stopping adventure story starring a smart and brave boy George Calder. After spending an exciting vacation in England with their Aunt Daisy, ten-year-old Gorge and his little sister Phoebe, were heading home to America, aboard the greatest ship on earth, the Titanic!
