The three students are all at new schools this term. Here, they write about their new schools and talk about making new friends.

Ayse I'm from Turkey, but my father works in London, so I go to an international school in London. There are children from forty-three different countries at this school, and everyone speaks English. I was worried and shy on my first day because I was the only girl from Turkey. But I'm OK now because everyone here is very friendly. Andrew My new school is a boarding school(寄宿学校) near London. I stay at the school from Mondays to Fridays and I go home on weekends. My last school was a day school(走读学校), so this is very different. I wasn't very happy for the first week, but now I like it because I can be with my new friends all day. Brant Hi! I'm at a day school in San Francisco, USA. Nobody likes to be different from all the other kids at school, so the first day was hard for me. But most people were nice and helpful. I'm not shy, so I'm making some friends. People here call me The Joker because I like telling funny jokes.
