connections between faculty and students, college and community, were made more transparent.
Since that first story circle,we have organized several more. Those participating in a story circle with us went on and organized their own story circles which are powerful ways of connecting each other. When we listen to others' stories, we learn something about them and also ourselves. We learn what is important and valuable in our lives.
So congratulate Dr. Claire Sterk! I applaud her new role as the chief story-teller,and look forward to my Emory community becoming more united through our multi-voiced stories!
