W: Sorry, John. I am just not in the mood.
M: You look upset. What's going on?
W: I lost the table tennis game yesterday. I just don't want to play table tennis any more.
M: Is it that bad? It's nothing more than a game.
W: Perhaps you are right. But I still need some time to recover from this failure.
M: OK, I understand. Don't hesitate to come to me if you need any help.

M: Hey, Cindy, I'm so sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have yelled at you in front of everyone.
W: Well, it doesn't matter now. I forgive you. But what was wrong with you yesterday?
M : I don't know what happened to me. I just lost control of myself at that moment.
W: You must be too stressed these days. I think you just need to get more rest and relaxation.
M : Yes, you're right. Too much work, but too little time. It nearly drives me crazy. I should go to bed early tonight. Thank you,Cindy. Good night.
W: Good night.

M: OK, honey, time to take down the Christmas tree.
W: Do we have to?
M: Come on, it's falling apart and losing needles all the time.
W: It's not that bad. Besides, it looks really nice in that comer.
M : But Christmas was two weeks ago ! It's only been there because we've been too busy to get rid of it.
W: I know, I know. But it reminds me of the great Christmas we just had. All of us were here, my parents, your parents, the kids, and the cousins. The food was good, and everybody got what they wanted.
M: Yeah, it was a good Christmas. It won't always be this good, but we can't make it last longer than it should.
W: OK, fine. We need to take down the tree, but I will feel sad.
M : Well, I can make a deal with you. We'll leave it up until Sun-day, and then we'll take it down after going to church.
W: Done. You're so sweet, honey.

W: Excuse me, do the buses stop here?
M: Yes, they all stop at this comer.
W: I want to go to Broadway on 82nd Street. Can 1 take any bus that comes along?
M: You can take any bus except the Number 9.
W: How often do the buses run?
M: They run about every 5 minutes.
W: Fine. How long does it take to get to 82nd Street?
M: About 15 minutes. It's not very far. Are you a stranger here in New York ?
W: Yes, I am. I arrived only 3 days ago from Japan.
M: How do you like New York?
