Step 1. Learn the words with the teacher.

1. Revise the phonetics. (use the card)

2. Let students read the words by themselves.

3. Ask some of the students to read the words and I will check the pronunciation.

4. Listen to the tape and read after it.

5. Read the words by themselves again.

6. Read the words in groups and check the pronunciation with each other.

7. Read the words together.

8. Learn the words together:

(1) train, bus, subway, car, boat : ①take the/ a ~ ② by ~

e.g. I take a bus to go to school. = I go to school by bus.

(2) ride: ~ a bike, ~ a horse

(3) hundred: 基数词+ hundred, hundred 后不加s

e.g. There are five hundred students in our school.

[拓展] hundreds of 表示"数以百计的，成百上千的"，此时不能与数词连用。类似用发的词还有thousand, million, billion.

e.g. Hundreds of the people died in the accident.

(4) far: ...be far (away) from... ...离...远, how far 询问距离

e.g. My school is far away from my home.

How far is it from your home to the park?
