In Unit 5-Theme Parks, the students are more interested in the new topic and they are eager to know some information about parks and theme parks, so they can focus on three theme parks, which have different themes, activities, characters and so on. The students are more curious about them and read the passage carefully to get more information about the three theme parks .
1. To understand the main idea of the passage and something about three world-famous theme parks such as Disneyland , Dollywood and Camelot Park.
2. To skim and scan for some needed information and find out the details as well as introduce the three themes parks mentioned in the passage.
3. Strengthen the sense of knowing about the different theme parks and the importance of visiting the theme parks and designing them.
1. To help the students get the general idea and detailed information and understand the similarities and differences of the three theme parks mentioned in the passage.
2. Enable the students to use their own words to express some ideas about the theme parks they know and like.
3. Let the students discuss in groups and design their own theme parks.

Purpose: To arouse Ss' interest in learning about theme parks.
