　　1.Which of them are connected with illness?

　　他们中哪些与疾病有关？

　　be connected with意为"与......有联系"。 常见的词组还有：

　　connect sth. to sth 把某物连接到某物上

　　connect sth. with sth把某物与某物连接起来

　　connect sb. with/to... 把电话接到......

　　[举例] The visit of the police was connected with the child lost.

　　警察的来访与失踪的孩子有关。

　　He connected the fridge to the electricity supply.

　　他接通冰箱电源。

　　The two islands are connected with a bridge.

　　两岛由一座桥连到一起。

　　Please connect me with Beijing University.

　　请给我接北京大学。

　　[辨析] connect与join

　　前者表示连接的两者仍保持各自的独立性；后者表示连接的两者已成为一体。

　　[举例]The bed is connected to an alarm clock.

　　这张床和一个闹钟相连。

　　Join one section of pipe to the next.

　　将一段管子与相邻的管子连接起来。

　　[拓展] connection 作名词，意为"关系；连接"。

　　[举例]He has no connection with that company.

　　他同那家公司没有联系。

keep sb. away意思为"不让接近某人；使离开"。后接介词from，意为"
