1) Get students to know the basic knowledge about the Olympic Games.

2) Get students to know the similarities and differences about ancient and modern Olympic Games.

3) Get students to know some important words and phrases in reading, such as athlete, admit, nowadays, stadium, replace, as well, regular basis.

3. Emotion aims

1) Arouse students' interest in the Olympic Games.

2) Develop students' sense of cooperative learning.
