1.以上例句中的黑体部分均为同位语从句,用来解释说明其前名词的具体内容。

2.以上从句的连接词均为that,在句中只起连接作用,无词义。

同位语从句就是在复合句中作名词的同位语的名词性从句。

1.同位语从句的功能

同位语从句对名词进一步解释,说明名词的具体内容。能跟同位语从句的名词一般是fact,news,idea,belief,thought,truth,hope,problem,question,information,wish,promise,answer,evidence,report,explanation,suggestion,conclusion等抽象名词。

(1)The fact that there is too much haze in Beijing makes some experts worried.

北京有太多雾霾这个事实让一些专家感到担心。

(2)I made a promise that I would make him happy.

我保证过我会让他高兴。

2.同位语从句的连接词

同位语从句的连接词主要有that,whether,why,who,where,how,when等。在同位语从句中that,whether不作成分,that无实际意义,whether表示"是否";其他连接词具有实义,同时在同位语从句中作一定成分。引导同位语从句的连接词一般都不省略。

(1)Many parents hold the view that teenagers shouldn't spend too much time online.很多父母都持有这样的观点:青少年不应该花太多时间上网。

(2)He hasn't made the decision whether he will go there.他还没有作出决定是否去那里。

(3)The question who should do the work requires consideration.谁该干这项工作这一问题需要考虑。
