1. When we talk about a drama, what relevant words do you think of?
stage: wings, microphones, curtains, lights, scenery, set
cast: director, actors, actresses
script: theme, lines, stage direction, acts, scenes
others: budget, props, costumes
2. When we talk about films or the film industry, what words or expressions do you think of?
cameraman, producer, costume designer, editor, lighting crew, director, actor and actress, ...

Read the handout given at a lecture about the film industry, and pay attention to the following words.
on location sound stages backdrop close-up shot
wide-angle shot credits score sound effects dubbing
on location: real places where the films are shot 实景拍摄
sound stages: compared to on-location shots, sound stages refer to the made-up film sets in buildings 摄影棚
backdrop: a view of the sky or a city
street; it is similar to a background 布景
close-up shot: a photograph taken from very near or a scene in a film shot from nearby, in which
