　　(1)SANTA MARIA DEL FIORE

　　You will be filled with awe when seeing the dome (穹顶); it remains the largest brick dome ever constructed. The basilica (长方形大教堂) is one of Italy's largest churches; the dome was the largest in the world until the modern era. The outside of the construction is wonderful and is faced with colorful marble panels in various shades of green and pink bordered by white.

　　(2)POMPEII

　　This is another popular historical site which attracts about 2.5 million visitors every year. It is simply a wonder of its time. On August 24, 79 AD, the volcano Vesuvius erupted, covering the nearby town Pompeii with ash and soil, and later preserving the city in its state from that fateful day.

　　(3)COLOSEUM (斗兽场)

　　This is Rome's largest and most famous amphitheater (圆形露天剧场) and has a capacity of holding an audience of 50,000 at one time. The building has some 80 entrances. Spectators were protected from the rain and heat of the sun by sails, which were attached around the top of the attic.

　　(4)POSITANO (AMALFI COAST)

　　The rising and falling beauty of the Amalfi Coast will leave you attracted. Scattered from top to bottom, down a hillside leading to the coast is rich in its beautiful scenery and diversity.
