Step 1 Greetings
Greet the class as usual.
Step 2 Preparation for Reading
1. Show some pictures on the screen. And tell the students something about them.
2. Ask some students to say some sentences for each vehicle.
Step 3 Lead-in
T: What kind of train is the fastest one in the world? Where is it? Have you ever been to Shanghai? Do you know anything about the Maglev. Today let's learn the Maglev-the fast train in the world (on blackboard).
Step 4 Fast-reading
1. Some new words:

track souvenir 2. Play the tape for the students to listen. First get them to look at the questions (on the screen).
