教学内容：Unit 1 Chinatown in America.

学习任务：

There are lots of Chinese shops and restaurants there.

功能：用 "There be "句型描述事物。

教学过程：

一、 复习上一模块所学知识：

（1） 让学生说出：长江、黄河、长城的英语名称。

（2） 复习句型：How long is the Changjiang River?（6300km）

Great Wall?(6700km)

Yellow River?(5464km)

引导学生用It's ......来回答。

(3) 让学生猜一猜下列城市的人口数。（上海：18million 青岛：7million 济南：6million500thousand ）

运用句型How big is it ? It's got ......来回答。

二、 任务呈现与课文导入：

1、 出示一张城市景观的图片，对学生说：This is a picture of a city. What can you see in it ?(I can see ......) Yes, in this picture , there are .......

2、 出示一张纽约唐人街的图片，问学生:Do you know where it is ?What can you see in this picture?请学生回答问题。

向学生介绍：Daming 现在在美国表兄的家里，他正在给家人发送email，他想念家人吗？他今天了解到了美国的什么情况呢？让我们一起来看一看。
