教材分析:
本单元是初中英语新教材九年级英语上册第四单元,本单元的核心话题为"talk about what you used to be like",围绕着谈论过去自己和他人过去经常做的事,谈论自己和他人过去的外貌\性格\爱好,以观察图片、听力理解、阅读理解等训练方式和独立学习、合作交流、完成任务等形式完成目标语言的输入,学习句型used to 为主要学习任务,并且设置任务型综合性语言实践活动,让学生在交际活动中,学会如何正确地用英语表达自己的意见和建议,重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。
学情分析
在学习本单元之前,本年级学生已经学习过了一些描写人物外貌的词汇和句型。对于本单元的学习,大部分学生已经有了一定的学习基础, 但由于学生自觉性差,很少能够自觉做好课前预习和课后复习,所以课前可以给些时间让他们熟悉下本节课的内容。
教学目标
知识和技能目标:
1. 要记住的单词:influence,seldom,proud,absent,fail,examination,boarding,exactly,pride,grandson
2. 会使用的短语:be proud of,take pride in,in person
3. 学会使用重点句型:
(1) He was often absent from classes, and he failed his examination.
(2) They would take pride in /be proud of everything good that I did.
情感态度和价值观:
我们身边的人和事都是不断发展变化的,随着深入学习,我们也应该不断增长知识,健全自己的人格,完善自己。
教学重难点:
(1) 进一步熟悉used to的用法,并能灵活应用。
(2) 从文中感受到爱的力量的伟大,感受自己父母对自己的爱,并能为此而做出改变。
