Teaching procedure:
Step 1. Greetings and lead-in
Bring a bag with some fruits and drinks to the class. Let the students play a game ."touch and guess".Ask several students to touch the things in the bag and guess what they are. Lead the new words "milk shake". Then ask students How to make a milk shake.
Step 2 presentation
According to some pictures to teach new words. Such as "blender, milk shake , turn on ,peel and pour". The teacher can use the body language to show the process of making the banana milk shake.
Then Let students finish 1a. Ask them to get the chance to show their answers. Check the answers together.
Step 3 Listening
Tell the students to listen to the tape and do 1b.Ask one student to tell his or her answers. Write some key words on the board . Get the students to retell the process according to them .
After retell the process ,the teacher can ask some questions like these"How many bananas do we need? How much milk do we need ? "。Teach the students the differences between the countable nouns and uncountable nouns .Lead in 2a .Listening.
Play the tape ,let the students finish 2a and 2b. Play it again ,check the answers. Make sure the students know about the two kinds of nouns .
