本课新单词有born, as,became,herself, role model,词组是all over the world,主要句型是She couldn't .... She could ....本课主要从学生兴趣出发,联系学生已有的对名人的了解,通过dialogues、readings、picture talking等多种活动,使学生学会运用could和couldn't描述某人过去能做和不能做的事情。同时,通过学习美国著名盲人作家Helen Keller的故事,教育学生要坚强勇敢地向命运挑战。

教学目标 1、知识与技能目标

(1)四会新单词、新词组和2个新句型,做到发音准确、清晰;

(2)熟练运用新句型与同桌进行相互问答;

(3)能够借助课文中的照片和图片,进行看图问答或综合说话;

(4)能够根据多媒体课件自主读写英语短文材料。

2、过程与方法目标

(1)通过师生问答、两两对话、角色扮演等多种言语交际活动,培养和提高口语交际能力和在日常生活中运用英语的能力;

(2)能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言,有语言表达和同学交流的愿望。

(1)激发和保持学生英语学习的动机。

(2)通过学习美国著名盲人作家Helen Keller的故事,教育学生要坚强勇敢地向命运挑战。

1. Warmer

1) Greetings.

2) Free talk:

A: What day is today? What's the weather like today? What do you usually do at the weekend? What did you do last weekend?

B: Guess what the teacher did last weekend?

2. Presentation:

1) Show the book the teacher read last weekend.(Three Days to See)

Ask the students who wrote it? Helen Keller

2) To announce the topic of the lesson

3) What do you want to know about Helen Keller?

3. Task-teaching

1) Look and listen.

2) Listen and repeat.

Questions: When and where was Helen Keller born? She wrote a book about herself, didn't she? Did she go all over the world? Is she a model?
