The General Idea of This Period
Study the grammar: the Present Perfect Tense 1.Make sure the students know the differences between the Present Perfect Tense and the Past Tense. Do some listening and learn some new words.

Step 1 Greetings and Lead-in
T: Good morning/afternoon, everyone.
S: Good morning/afternoon, teacher.
T: Sit down, please. Boys and girls, we have learned some new words and a dialogue. I think you have mastered the words and have read the dialogue for many times. What do I say? Who can repeat them?
S: We can.(Repeat)
T: Who can tell me what tense I used in the sentences?
S: I can. It is the Present Perfect Tense.
Step 2 Discussion and Practice
T: Right. Let's look at these sentences.(Show them on the screen.)
1. I've seen quite a lot of China.
2. I've visited some beautiful cities.
3. They've just completed it.
4. They've put up a lot of high-rise buildings recently.
5. A friend's told me about a nice little fish restaurant here.
6. It has been six years since we last saw each other, you know. (First get the students to discuss and compare these sentences. Then the teacher discuss with them.)
