1、majority

　　majority的意思是"大多数；大部分"，常与a或the连用，作主语时，若指整体情况，谓语常用单数；指许多个体，谓语常用复数。

辨析：a/the majority of 与 most

（l）other用作形容词，意思是"其他的；别的"，修饰名词时，其前面常常有the，no，some，many或any等限定词。
