1) Fundamental state基本情况
In previous lessons, students have learnt some basic knowledge of writing, and they already know how to write a story, how to write an email and how to describe something. However, they have never encounter persuasive writing. They may have no idea of this practical genre at all.

As the last period of the unit, students are equipped with good food vocabulary by now and they have a very good understanding of the passage in this unit. They have talked about their favorite food and they have seen two samples of advertisement. Therefore, it should be easier for them to write an advertisement of their own on the same topic.
