Help the students learn how to talk about inventions and discoveries.

Enable the students to talk about information and different.

二．Contents

Step I Ask the students to talk about the pictures with the teacher's help, and then discuss the first two questions.

what is a discovery?

What's the difference between a discovery and an invention?

Step II Work in pairs and talk about the three different things, telling them apart and giving reasons.

1. Which these pictures show inventions? Does any of them show discoveries?

2. Work out two rules that will help you decide what is a discovery and what is an invention?
