◆vt.获得；得到；取得；学到。常见的搭配如下：

acquire a taste for sth.开始喜欢某事物

acquire the habit of doing sth.养成做某事的习惯

acquire a(good)knowledge of得到......知识；精通

☛Gradually she acquired experience in how to do the work.

她逐步获得了做这项工作的经验。

☛He spent years acquiring his skills as a surgeon.

他花了许多年时间才学到外科医生的技能。

【易混辨析】★acquire/obtain/gain/get

这四个词都含有"得到，获得，达到(目的)"之意。

(1)acquire多指通过不断地学、问等方式慢慢地获取学问、技术等较抽象的东西。

(2)obtain表示经过相当长的时间或经过很大的努力获得期望已久的东西。

(3)gain的含义较obtain更进一层，表示付出更大的努力才能获得，故常译为"赢得"。

(4)get是使用最广泛的一个词，包含"主动努力去获得"或"被动地得到"之意。
