　　本课选自《新标准英语》三年级起始三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short.本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述某人或某物的特征。学习几对反义词：tall-short, big-small, fat-thin.

　　教学目标

　　一、知识目标

　　词汇：tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat

　　句子：This monkey is small and thin.

　　二、能力目标

　　能灵活运用This/That ... is tall/ short/ big/ small.

　　 描述某人/物的特征。

　　三、情感目标

　　1. 培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

　　2．通过学习，树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。

　　教学重点、难点 1.重点:

　　（1）学习并掌握单词tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat

　　（2）掌握句型 This/That ... is tall/ short/ big/ small.
