I. Teaching aims and demands:
1. Knowledge objectives:
a) Key words and phrases: anyone, anywhere, wonderful, few, quite a few, most, Long time no see, be on vacation, take quite a few photos, most of the time;
b) Target language:
① -Where did you go on vacation? -I went to New York City.
② -Did you go with anyone? -Yes, I went with my mother .
③ -Did you do anything special last month? -No, I didn't.
2. Ability objectives:
a) learn to listen for where Grace/Kevin/Julie went on vacation carefully;
b) have a better understand of Indefinite Pronouns and Simple past tense of regular and irregular verbs;
c) make full use of the target language to talk about their own vacation;
3. Moral objectives:
Students learn to talk about their own vacation with Simple past tense and try to cultivate students' sense of protecting environment and loving nature.

3.Present the chart of 2a and ask Ss to match the names with the places;

4.Introduce some other activities in the listening and ask Ss to read them aloud;
Eg. go with someone/buy something special/meet someone interesting/do something interesting/go out with someone;
5.Ask Ss to compare these phrases with other phrases in the chart and find the differences;
6.Lead Ss to listen again and check Yes or No and ask Ss to ask and answer;

A: Yes, she did.
7.Let Ss work in pairs and role-play conversations between Grace, Kevin and Julie;
8.First let Ss read the conversation 2d and underline the questions in it;
9.Ask Ss to match the people and places they went and give some explanations in 2d;
