T: Good morning /afternoon everyone!
Ss: Good morning /afternoon, Sir/ Madam!
T: Did you do your homework yesterday? I mean both written work on P68 Exx 1-2, P69 Ex 3 and RLW work in group of four? (RLW: read, listen and write)
Ss: Yes, we did.
T: That's OK. Now let's check Exx 1-2 &3 together first.
The teacher will check the Ex together with the whole class, settling problems if they have and giving necessary explanations. After that, the teacher may check the other job in this way.
T: Now, let's do a quick competition to check your RLW work. Each of your sitting-line is a group, so we have 8 groups. In each line, the first one will read your news to the second, while the second one will write down the word count of the sentence and 3 key words quickly. Then the second one will read your news to the third, and the third will write down the word count and 3 key words... Just like this one after another. And the last one will read to the first. Clear?
Ss: Yes. But what's the rule of recording marks?
T: Everyone should check your listener's answer and record the mark. Full mark is 5. When you finish, the first one should collect everyone's mark in your group and add them up. The group with the highest mark will be the top one. By the way, the same old-group numbers may change your seats to avoid meeting together. Are you ready?
