Ⅰ. Warming-up and leading in
To create an English environment, the teacher shows the class a video of animals in the zoo. And then ask some questions about animals:
There are a lot of animals in the video .Do you like animals?
Do you want to know more about them?
Today, let us visit a zoo together.
Ⅱ. Learning by yourselves
1. Ask them to look up the knowledge points in relevant books and finish the learning task.
2. Have a discussion to check the answers in groups.
Ⅲ. Show time.
Let Ss explain the new knowledge points:
1. favorite (adj) 最喜欢的
eg: What's your favorite color?
favorite (n) 最喜欢的人或物
eg:Football is my favorite.
2. because (conj) 后接句子
eg: She doesn't go to school because she is ill.(参考名校课堂P29)
because of 后接名词、动名词等。
eg:She doesn't go to school because of her illniss.
3. Let's do sth (包括听者在内)
eg: Let's see the pandas first.
Let us do sth (不包括听者在内)
eg: Let us help you.
4. why 引导特殊疑问句,because 用来回答。
--Why do you want to see them?
--Because they are interesting.
IV. Brain storming
1. Make a guess. Review the new words about animals using some pictures.
T: Show some pictures on the screen. Let Ss guess what animal it is.
