Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
Show Ss three short video advertisements to produce the following questions:
① Where did you see them? (over the TV)
② Why are these videos shown on the TV ? (to let people know their products)
③ Lead into the topics of the text
Step 2 Before Reading
① Do a game-guessing to drill the use of the vocabulary concerned about the advertising as well as to cultivate the atmosphere of learning. eg. mobile phone:
Student A: It has no wires or cables and the signals are clear and gives you freedom .
Student B: It may be worth¥1800 to ¥3300 or at least ¥2650
(Other topics: a gold necklace, a digital cameral, a new refrigerator, ...)
