1) T:In my winter holiday,I make a friend by email. His name is Nick.Here is his email.

CAI show Nick's email.Ask the pupils to read quickly and find: How many people are there in his family? Who are they?

2) Ask the pupils to readthe email again and finish the questins in groups: What does Nick's father / mother / sister / brother do?

3)CAI show the following: Nick's father _______ Science. Nick's broter ______ go to school. Ask the pupils to fill in the blanks.

Nick and his sister are_______.

4) CAI show some changed sentences: Does Nick's father teach science? Does Nick's brother go to school? Do Nick and his sister go to school? Are Nick and Nick's sister in the same class? Help the pupils to answer and ask more in pairs.

5) Ask the pupils to finish answers in pairs.

Step III. Practice

1) Ask the pupils to introduce themselves in pairs.

2) Ask the pupil to make a friend by QQ:

Ss: What's your name?

QQ friend: I'm Peter.

Ss: How many people are there in your family?

QQ friend: Three. My...

Ss: What does your ... do?
