1. The teacher reads the passage and the students should find out comparative words and phrases in the whole text.
2. Read the paragraphs one by one and find the important sentences. Explain the important and difficult sentences.
3. Get students to read the article again. Make sure every student can read the words and sentences fluently. Listen to the teacher carefully and try to master the important words and phrases.

1. After explaining the whole passage and finish 2c.
2. Ask students to think about how to compare with the people in the article and write five sentences.
3. If time permits, divide the class into several groups and ask each group to choose a title about which saying about friends is their favorite. Organize students to say their reasons and correct the mistakes. Finish the activities 2c, 2d and 2e with partners and then correct the mistakes.
