Should Smoking Be Banned?

　　Should smoking be banned? In my opinion, definitely yes.

　　While others are against the ban for the following two reasons. Firstly, they argue that if smoking was banned, our government would lose a lot of money from tax on cigarettes. Besides, they say a lot of cigarette factories and companies would be closed and lots of workers would be out of work if the ban was carried out. That can be a big problem for the government and even the whole society.

　　However, others are for the ban. From my point of view, I think smoking should be banned. There're lots of reasons. First of all, government would save money on medical treatment. Secondly, cigarettes are very expensive. Smokers have to spend a lot of money buying them. That's a waste of money. Thirdly, Smoking is bad for a smoker's health. Even worse, it's harmful to people around them. It's said that smoking is one of the ways to cause cancer. Furthermore, there can be fires that can result in a great loss of life and property because of a smoker's carelessness. As a matter of fact, there are some other reasons to explain my choice. For me, the ban on smoking is surely a wise choice .

　　Taking into account all these factors, we may safely come to the conclusion that smoking should be banned.
