This summer my parents and I spent a week visiting Lushan. Lushan is very beautiful and

we had a very good time there.

Lushan lies in the north of Jiangxi Province, with the Changjiang River to its north and the

Boyang Lake on its south. It is 36 km south of the city of Jiujiang.

There are many high peaks in Lushan and most of them are over 1000 meters high above sea-level. Hanyang Peak, the highest peak, is 1474 meters above sea level. There are over 200 different kinds of trees and large areas of bamboo on the mountain, so the whole mountain is covered in green and the scenery is beautiful. The temperature in summer is between 20-25℃, thus makes Lushan a good place for the summer holidays.

There are places of interest all over the mountain. Many famous persons in history, such as TaoYuanming, Li Bai, Lu You, etc., visited Lushan and left their poems and articles. There are villas where Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Jiang Jieshi once lived, which makes Lushan even more famous. In 1996 Lushan was honoured as one of the World Natural and Cultural Heritages.

Lushan is a place worthy of a visit.
