1. T: How was the life many years ago?
Ask the students to read the second paragraph and underline the sentences with "____".Circle the new words you don't know.
The students try to say out the answers.
1) There weren't any buses.
2) There weren't any televisions.
3) We lived in a small house.
4) We didn't have enough food.
Ask the students to retell the four sentences.
【设计意图】
让学生带着问题再次阅读文本并在课本中画出相应的语句,培养了学生从文本寻找答案的能力,同时也培养学生养成了不动笔墨不读书的习惯。另外让学生圈出不认识的新单词,并在语境中学习新单词,可以加深学生对新单词的领悟和理解能力,做到了词不离句,句不离篇。
