Introduction

Language is learned to be used in and for communication. So in this period we shall have the students read, listen, write and speak in English, making use of the focused words, expressions, structures and topic ideas covered in this unit. The lesson will begin by students listening and reading aloud. Then comes reading and underlining，doing exercises，listening，reading, speaking and writing，writing a poster，writing a speech，doing a project. The period ends in students filling a form.

Procedures

1. Warming up by listening and reading aloud

Language is created to be listened to and spoken first. So open your book to page 13 and read it aloud while listening to the recording. Watch your pauses between the thought groups.

1. Reading and underlining

Next you are to read and underline all the useful expressions or collocations in the passage. Copy them into your notebook after class as homework.
