Then ask students to say something about the two great players: Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain.

T: Yesterday we learned something about two great players Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. Who would like to say something about them?

S1: Michael Jordan was born on 17th February 1963. He is 1.98m tall. His position was Guard. He played in 1072 games. He scored 32,292 points. His records are as follows: 1. Most seasons leading score: 10. 2. Consecutive season leading score: 7 (1987-1993). His NBA career is 15 seasons. He finally retired from sport in 2003 at the age of 40. He opened his own steak restaurant after retiring from sport and acted in the film Space Jam. He is also successful as an actor. In a word he is awesome.

T: Quit good. What about Wilt Chamberlain?

S2: Wilt Chamberlain was born 21st August, 1936 and died on 12th, October, 1999. He was 2.17m tall. His position was Center. He played in 1015 games. He scored 31,419points. His records are as follows: 1. Most points in a season: 10. 2. Consecutive season leading score: 7(1960-1966). His NBA career is 14 seasons. He is the only NBA player who averaged over 50 points per game for an entire season. On 2nd March1962, he scored 100 points in a single game-no one has ever done that since! He was so much better than all the other players that they changed the rules of the game to try to stop him. He is the outstanding player of his generation.

T: Quite good! Both of them are super sport stars in the US. China also has such a star. Who is he?

Ss: Yao Ming.
