Teaching procedure

Step1 Lead-in

a) A short cartoon, 'Head ,shoulders, knees and toes' will be presented and students stand up to sing and dance together.

( to arouse students' interest and introduce more words of body)

b) Some pictures of people with different body-shapes and hair-styles are presented on PPT.

Step2 Presentation

1. How can you describe your favorite stars?

a) Three groups of pictures are presented on the PPT to introduce new words and phrases:

group1: long hair/short hair

group2: straight hair/curly hair

group3：long straight (black) hair; short curly (blond) hair; long curly (brown ) hair; short straight (white/grey) hair; no hair

(write the new words and sentences on the blackboard: What does he/she look like? He/She has...)

make a brief conclusion: size+shape+colour+hair 尺寸/长短+形状
