Preparation:
Sing a song with the name of Mangoes and rice at the beginning of the class.
Teaching preceduce.
Step1.Warmer and leading
When you want to buy something, you go to the supermarket, you can see lots and lots of things. Which one do you want to buy? You should make a decision. So you should use some adjectives to describe the one you want. Now, let's say the adjectives we have learnt before.
big small short long light heavy broken new old etc.
Step2. Text
Lingling bought a new bag, and now she wants to buy another thing. What does she want to buy? let's listen and think the questions.
(Show ppt) Play the cartoon.
1. What does Lingling want to buy?
2. Which one does Lingling take?
3. Do you know where they are?
4. What else can you learn from the dialogue?
Play the cartoon twice firstly, and let the pupils answer the questions(1 and 2). Then play it again, pause in each utterance, let the pupils follow it. Ask what they can learn from the sentence "You can take it to China." Then let them guess where Amy and Lingling are.
Then let them read by themselves. Read in roles. Then show the PPT, and let the students act the dialogue out.
Step3. Practice
Show the pictures. Have the students look, and talk about the pictures with: It's ... for....
Then let them read together.
Then show the picture of some T-shirts and let the children talk about them, and make the decision that which one they like and tell the reasons.
Write the sentences on their exercise books.
Step4: Exercises.
Show the PPT, and do Exercise 1 on AB, and then Exercise 2. Let one pupil do on computer.
Talk about the answers.
