The language of Chinese

　Chinese is one of the most ancient languages in the world.

It is spoken by the largest number of people in the world, more than a billion,

most of whom livein China. There are about 50,000 Chinese characters,

of which about 20,000 are known to most people.

Chinese is also one of the official languages of the United Nations. Now that China

is becoming stronger, Chinese will certainly play a more important part in

international communication.

More and more people in the world are beginning to learn Chinese and many

famous universities have set Chinese course. I'm sure that it is a good idea for people

from other countries to learn Chinese.
