Step 1Lead -in

Before students read the text ,ask them if they know anything about Lance Armstrong. Encourage them to exchange their information about Lance Armstrong .

Then have some students to show their answers to class.

Step 2 ,Reading .

Tell them to read the article anout Lance Armstrong .try to find the answer of the following questions :

1 ,What have been his two major achivements?

2 What happened to him in 1996 ?

3 What spirit do you think made him a superstar ?

After the reading ,check the answers .

Step 3 ,Discussion .
