Step 1. Lead-in:

Show Ss a map and revise the names of the building on the street and ask where the buildings are. Then learn how to ask the way and give directions. （也可以谈论学生实际生活中的地方）

学习问路、指路时的交际用语：----Hi, excuse me. Is there a...?/Where's the ...?

----...I can walk with you.----Oh, that's great. Thanks so much.----No problem.

Step 2. Role-play

1. Read with questions: Where does Tony want to go?

Who is new in town? Where is the bank? Is there a park near the bank?

2. Then Ss read the conversations by themselves and try to find out the useful expressions.

3.Play the tape ,get the Ss to repeat. Then Ss role-play the conversation.
