T: I know many of you are English songs lovers. Have you ever listened to the song "Daniel" By Elton John?

Ss: Yes/No.

T: On page 13 are the lyrics. Please read the lyrics and guess the missing words. Then I will play the tape for you to check if your guesses are correct.

After checking the answers, play the tape again fro students to experience the feeling in the song. Then ask students to sing the song full of emotion according to their own interpretations of the song.

Step III Listening　Situational Dialogues

Deal with Ex 1 &2.

Play the tape for students to listen to three situational dialogues. Ask students to match the given words with each dialogue. Listen to the dialogues again and decide the situations where each one takes place.

Step IV Speaking A Rolepaly

Deal with Ex 1.

Ask students to look at the table and imagine what information they need to listen for. Play the recording for students to complete the table. If necessary, play the recording again. Then show the table with answers on the PowerPoint.

T: Have you ever attended a language school in a foreign country?

Ss: No.

T: OK. Use your imagination and think what the experience will be in a foreign country. Please refer to the table and try to imagine the situation. Then talk about your predictions with your partner.
