still at university,he took his first actions. In 1944,he helped to found the ANC Youth League. During the 1950s,he led many peaceful actions. His enemies hated him and he had been kept a prisoner from 1962 to 1989,but he never gave up the struggle for the freedom of all the blacks,so he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
T:You've done a good job. As we all know,Mr Mandela had been put in prison from 1962 till 1989.Now imagine he is in prison. You're going to write a letter to the president of South Africa asking him to set him free. So first you need to know more about his life.
